Colonels Academy, Katihar holds the rare distinction of being the first school in Eastern Bihar to be recognized as a SPICMACAY Chapter (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). This proud association reflects our deep commitment to promoting Indian classical music, dance, art, and culture —nurturing in our students a lifelong appreciation of the country’s rich artistic heritage.

The Colonels Academy SPICMACAY Chapter began its remarkable journey in 2009, when Shri Biswajit Roy Chowdhury, a renowned sarod maestro, inaugurated the school’s first classical performance series.

Since then, the Academy has hosted some of India’s most legendary artists, whose presence and performances have inspired and enriched our students.
