Nukkad Natak – Street Theatre by Colonels Academy, Katihar
At Colonels Academy, Katihar, education extends beyond classrooms and textbooks — it reaches into society through creative expression and social awareness. Our students proudly present Nukkad Nataks (Street Plays) to connect with the community, raise awareness, and become responsible young citizens who act for change.
Training with Theatre Professionals
Under the expert mentorship of professional artists from the Team of Father Anand, Manchdootam Trust, Varanasi, our students received hands-on training in:
- Acting and stage movement
- Voice modulation and street performance techniques
- Dialogue delivery and expression
- Team coordination and audience interaction
This professional exposure helped our students learn the art of performance with purpose, using theatre as a tool for communication, empathy, and activism.
“Theatre teaches not only how to act — but how to understand, feel, and respond to the world.”
The Nukkad Natak initiative has become one of the most engaging cultural activities at Colonels Academy, blending art, awareness, and social responsibility.
It gives students a platform to:
- Communicate ideas confidently in public
- Learn teamwork and leadership
- Understand social issues and empathy
- Represent Colonels Academy as agents of positive change
Our performances have received appreciation from local communities, NGOs, and educators, marking Colonels Academy as a pioneer in student-led social outreach in Eastern Bihar.
